Okay, here I go then ;') Let's start with some basic things!

I really like the idea of the exposition; a character being 'trapped' in a box or simply 'hiding' there, is a nice concept to work with. Especially the one who looks as adorable as this one! *smiles* The concept you've chosen allows you to use an interesting perspective and play a lot with the variety of shades; darkness and light. This is something you've got a grip on, but should specifically concentrate on in your further works! :')

I like how you've positioned Ciel; he's nicely interacting with his surrounding by touching the box wall and his facial expression is all too cheeky! You did a good job on proportions; hands and feet are very well worked out as well. We all know how hard it is to find a right form for those, you've succeeded wonderfully!

I can see, that you're feeling very confident about poses and character design; I think you've spend more time working on Ciel (he is very well worked out) than on the actual background, which appears to be more space filling :') However your intentions are clear and your lines are strict and confident, I like it. I would love to give you some piece of advise, that might help you improve in your works:

My Advise would be the following:

--- You should add more shadows to your art, to achieve three-dimensionality. Don't be afraid to add some darker colors to your art; you won't destroy it, you will shape it! Not only in coloring the clothes, but the surrounding as well!
Shadows make the picture more functional, more realistic and more spacial. Right now your art is more in a 2D category, but has a tendency in a 3D direction! Don't be afraid to pursue that idea! :'D

--- The other thing you should concentrate on is the light source. Right now, your character and the box he is in, appear almost like paper dolls; they are firmly bathing in diffuse light, without any real shades. You've tried to point out, that the light was supposed to be coming from above (at least this is what I've concluded from his pullover) and shining into the box, spotlighting Ciel; if that's the case than you'll need not only to add more light, but also some definite, darker skin-toned shades to his face, and especially dark folds to his pants! A clear shadow beneath the character must be visible as well; without it the feeling of 'three dimensionality' fades in an instant.

--- Play around with background colors, hon! Don't just leave the upper part of the picture white! <3 Don't be afraid to add something into the background as well; I know it's an ass-kicking thing to do, but it'll help you to understand the premise better! Add some darkness to the box as well; make it more solid! I can see that you've tried to make it appear deeper ^^

--- If you're not sure about how to shade correctly, look up some nice references of build up the same setting in front of you by taking a real box and making light shine into it :')

--- Try to avoid using the same brush for shading the surrounding and the character; in your case it's fitting because your neko has a different colored pants, but it's tiring for the eye when to look at the same pattern :')

All in one I think you've got many nice aspects you're working on currently in your wish for improvement! *smiles* I would love to help you out with tricks and tips, but the most important thing is to look around yourself and learn from the real world around us ^^ *smiles*

Great job, and a nice idea! :')
Keep on the great work!
